For the greater good, I commandeered a blonde haired, blue eyed gal in my neighborhood
kicking and screaming . She’s a friend people, there was not too much violence involved.
Thanks for gracing my blog Carrie!!

I played up her existing summer glow with bronze toned cream eyeshadows, and subtle shimmery bronzed skin.
For the base, I sheered out Armani Luminous Silk with moisturizer for a light but even and ….. luminous….complexion so her freckles would show through I blended some liquid illuminator into the tops of her cheek bones and over her brow bone.
To bring out her bright blue eyes, I went for bronze and warm toned eye shadows. I used Soft Brown, by MAC, to …softly.. define the crease contour up to the brow bone. I then did something unexpected, mostly by myself, which was to mix some of the liquid illuminator with an amber colored loose pigment, and this yielded an amazing light bronze cream eyeshadow. So I did it again, but with a slightly darker pigment.
I patted the lighter shadow concoction on the inner half of the mobile lid, and patted the darker shadow on the outer half, and blended the two for a diffused transition.
I used a small amount of a darker golden brown shadow to lightly shape the outer crease and lid, taking it across the lower lid as well. I used MAC’s vanilla pigment to highlight Carrie’s tearducts.
To further bring out her eyes, I lined the upper and lower lids and waterlines with a brown kohl and smudged it with any leftover shadow on the brush used to add the darker brown.
I used bronzer to define and contour her face very naturally, added a “peaches and cream” blush, and a neutral lip. Lastly, I amped up her eyes with a few trios of false lashes 😉
Thanks again Carrie, I had fun!
Stay tuned for my next victim…er..um…model/subject/person, post forthcoming. XOXO

Apologies, I don’t remember the exact lip combination I used. As can be seen, however, it’s not an unusual or complicated lip color to achieve.
